A dark and twisted version of the classic Mozart opera, Die Entführung aus dem Serail, BK Opera creates a tragic tale out of a comedy, showing the darkness at its core.

Set at the height of the Satanic Panic, when people were moving to a more evangelical Christianity as a way to fight the encroaching darkness and Church fathers proclaimed the coming end of the world to ever-filling pews across the US.

Too late, Konstanze has realised her church has turned apocalyptic. The Family, run by the charismatic Pasha Selim, has closed the compound doors against the coming Armageddon, trapping her inside.  Can her lover, Belmonte, reach her and help her escape before their techniques of sleep deprivation and violence finalise her indoctrination?
