Tahlia Murphy

2012 saw Tahlia graduating from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, having earned her Bachelor of Music & Honours in Classical Voice Performance. Since then, Tahlia has appeared in The Adelaide Fringe Festival and Adelaide Cabaret Fringe in original shows such as The Bailey Dolls, Crazy with Sondheim (including an OOTS regional tour in April 2015). To Diva or not To Diva (which she wrote, directed & produced independently) enjoyed a successful opening season in the 2015 Adelaide Fringe Festival. During the 2015 Adelaide Cabaret Fringe, she appeared as a performer for the Opening Night Gala. Cabaret Fringe saw her also present a second season of To Diva or not to Diva. In December 2015, Tahlia made her operatic debut as Barbarina in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro with Co-Opera’s Intermezzo Series; she has since performed the role of Servilia in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito. For Emma Knights Productions she has appeared in several sell-out Floating Melodies concerts with The Good Girl’s Guide (Verity Music & Media) & was also a lead soloist in the acclaimed sell-out event A Day with Jane at Ayers House in 2016 & 2018. Since moving to Melbourne in late 2017 she has performed with Cordelia’s Potted Opera in Puccini’s Suor Angelica in December 2017. 2018 saw Tahlia joining BK Opera for Melbourne White Night in February. Tahlia will also be joining BK Opera in July 2018 for their new production of Mozart’s Abduction and future productions.
