Olivia Federow-Yemm

Mezzo-soprano Olivia Federow-Yemm is an emerging young performer from Melbourne. She recently completed her Masters of Opera Performance at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. Lead roles in this program included Nerone in ‘L’incoronazione di Poppea’, Third Lady in ‘Die Zauberflöte’, Zita in ‘Gianni Schicchi’, and Proserpina in ‘L’Orfeo’. Her cover and study roles include Madame de Croissy in ‘Dialogues des Carmélites’ and Charlotte in ‘Werther’. Other notable ensemble performances include the 2021 Opera Australia production of ‘Aida’. In 2019, Olivia debuted the role of Winter in ‘The Selfish Giant’ with Victorian Opera, and this year Olivia will cover the role of Flosshilde in Melbourne Opera’s cycle of ‘Der Ring des Nibelungen’. She is a proud member of the Richard Divall Emerging Artist’s Programme and is honoured to have received the Melbourne Opera/Rotary International NGSE scholarship to participate in the 2023 Young Artist Festival in Bayreuth, Germany.
